We believe that our curriculum should prepare our pupils for life after primary school. Children leave us with the skills, knowledge and attitudes that will enable them to become the most successful citizens they can be; understanding and caring for the world in which they live.

As part of our KS1 science topic on plants 🌱, Year 1 and Year 2 teamed up for a wild plant walk in our KS2 woodland and field.
Our budding gardeners spotted lots of wild plants in our beautiful grounds including ivy, daisies, dandelions, nettles and clovers! 🍀 The children did an amazing job identifying and discussing the plants they found. 🌸🪻🌿🌼 #science #plants #year1 #year2 #forestschool

Two teams, made up of 15 of our talented Year 3/4 footballers, took part in the tournament this evening at South Hunsley. Both teams played brilliantly, showing great skill, teamwork and plenty of smiles throughout the evening.
The girls represented our school superbly and finished in 2nd and 3rd place - a fantastic achievement, especially as it was the first ever tournament for many of them.
A brilliant evening of football; we are very proud of their efforts ⚽️🏆

Mike from STEM UK visited Year 5/6 today as part of an ongoing project with Dogger Bank Wind Farm. Building on the work the children have previously completed in science, they tested aerodynamics by designing and creating their own wind turbines. The turbines were then put to the test as the children competed to see which design could generate the most energy. The children thoroughly enjoyed the session while learning more about sustainable energy sources!
