Y3 Curriculum Overview
Welcome to our Year 3 curriculum page. We believe that children have a right to expect a curriculum which is fun, motivating, interesting and most importantly purposeful.
We think North Ferriby Primary brings something special to every child that walks through our doors – we offer an exciting curriculum experience to all our children. Our school ethos is built on our core values: FRIENDSHIP,COURAGE,PERSEVERANCE, RESPECT and enables children to achieve extraordinary things.
On this page, you will find further information about our Year 3 curriculum, useful videos, links and resources for starting Year 3 with insights into the activities and learning environments within the year group.
What do we do in Year 3?
Please find below your child’s Year 3 Curriculum Overview which gives an outline of the topics your child will cover in Year 3.
Please find below your child’s termly Knowledge Organisers which contains a summary of the knowledge and key facts Year 3 children will be learning during the year. Children will bring a copy of the organiser home at the start of each term and are encouraged to refer to these organisers throughout their learning. Please help your child investigate and retain their knowledge as they work through their theme.

Y3/4 have had great fun today using all their knowledge about the classification of animals to write 'who am I' riddles. They had even more fun reading them out for friends to solve. They all sounded like scientists, with words like invertebrate, arachnid and classification being used correctly. Well d#science. #year3ce#year4r3 #year4 ... See MoreSee Less
