We pride ourselves on the range of diverse clubs that we provide for our children beyond the school day before and after school. We have everything from sports , music, dance, craft, games through to clubs such as circus skills! At lunchtimes we hold our Graduate Club where children study beyond the curriculum and reflect upon the wider world. We are incredibly lucky to have members of the local church come twice a week to hold our Superstar and Allstars Church clubs. Children study bible stories and play games and make crafts. Quite often it is the Reverend and his wife who hold these sessions keeping our links with our church community strong.
We regularly attend the Church at North Ferriby , which is just along the road to the school and has played an integral part of the school community since it opened . We also have whole school assemblies and celebrations in church , to which all parents and carers are welcome to attend. We are lucky to have this beautiful church to be able to hold services of celebration throughout the school year, such as Christmas, Easter and Harvest Festival.
The church has it’s own website, click on the picture of the church below to access it
Our School Values were revisited and refreshed in January 2023 with the whole community involved in picking what we thought were the main Christian values that we hold dear to us every day in school.
Respect, Perseverance, Friendship, Courage
Trips and Visits
We are always out and about at North Ferriby School!
This year we have visited the Buddhism Meditation centre, The Church, The Mosque, The Synagogue and the Gurdwara. In addition to this we have had some special visitors in to talk about Hinduism.
Our Worship
We hold worship sessions every day in our school and they are the heartbeat of the day. We learn about the journey through the bible and about Christian values. We also enjoy singing. In our classes we say morning and lunchtime prayers.
